When the GSH Board team visited India in Nov 2013, the construction of the new home/school was able to resume after a long delay…. As we were watching the process of the cement slab being poured for the second story of the GSH building project, we realized that the pile of rocks being used to make the cement came from the quarry where many of the GSH children’s parents are daily laborers, literally breaking rocks into pieces. How amazing to realize that these same rocks were building the foundations of the new home and school to serve their children. Thank you for being willing to provide a solid foundation in the lives of these children, the poorest of the poor in India—your commitment to them is truly saving lives. Thank you!
The cost to build the 2 buildings with 16,000 sq feet of space, was approximately $12.00 per square foot. They were completed in June 2014, a dedication was held and the school began. Yet to be completed is the kitchen/ dining hall. $40,000 is the current need to finish that project. Please pray for the school and home and the ministry to the GSH children and the Hindu children who are attending from the nearby villages. If you would like to contribute, you may do so online or by mail. Thank you for being a part of God’s work in India!
