We are so delighted to introduce you to these two precious young women, Rani and Satya. Both girls have been part of the GSH family since 2007. Satya lost her father in an accident, leaving her mother, who suffers from tuberculosis, to care for the family. Unable to feed her children, Satya and her siblings faced a grim future.
Like Satya, Rani is the daughter of day laborers. Her mother faces chronic poor health and is unable to work, and her father’s small earnings are not able to feed the family.
The fate of many children like Rani and Satya is forced child labor or begging on the street. It is a life of suffering and abuse, with no escape in sight. Thanks to the donations of our child sponsors, Satya and Rani have been offered a different future. Not only have all of their basic needs for food, shelter, protection, and medical care been met, they have been given a great eduation.
The girls are currently entering their 3rd year of training to become Registered Nurses. They continue to reside at Good Samaritans Home as young adult students. When they are not studying or interning, they are assisting with the home’s younger children, teaching Sunday School, leading singing, and serving as mentors. These young women are a bright and shining light in their community, and we are so proud of them. They love the Lord, and their future is sure in Him.
